Taohuajiang Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot

Taohuajiang Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot is located in Taohuajiang National Forest Park in Yiyang. The planning area of the core scenic spot is 65 square kilometers, with a total area of 761.2 hectares. It has a total area of 50000 mu of Phyllostachys pubescens. It is about 3 kilometers southwest of Taojiang County and 16 kilometers away from Yiyang City. Taohuajiang bamboo sea is a special scenic spot in Taojiang County, a bamboo township. It is developed and constructed by Guangdong Hakka women's tourism group according to the national 4A standard, with an investment of 180 million yuan. The theme of the scenic spot is composed of bamboo sea ecological scenic spot and an ecological hotel. As of 2014, Taohuajiang scenic spot is only a national 2A scenic spot. Taohuajiang Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot is the largest bamboo forest ecological scenic spot in Jiangnan area.

Development history

In the 1960s, Tao Zhu, a proletarian revolutionary, toured the bamboo sea for more than half a day. He called on Party members and cadres not only to learn the style of pine trees, but also to follow the spirit of Nanzhu.

In the winter of 1992, Comrade Wen Jiabao, then member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, State Councilor and vice premier, visited the bamboo sea and happily wrote down the four words "hometown of Nanzhu" to praise Taojiang bamboo town.

In 2000, Taohuajiang bamboo sea was designated as a provincial forest park by Hunan Province.

In 2003, it was also rated as national AA scenic spot, with good ecological and cultural tourism environment, attracting tourists from home and abroad.

In 2005, the number of tourists has exceeded 250000.

In 2013, the bamboo sea was invested and expanded again, and some projects were invited for investment, and the scenic spots were improved to meet the "China Taohuajiang international ecological and cultural tourism forum". In August 2014, the Taohuajiang bamboo sea was opened at its designated site, further building the Taohuajiang Bamboo Sea into an international ecological and cultural tourism demonstration base.

Taohuajiang bamboo sea is a natural oxygen bar

From the north and South Mountain gates, you can ride up the mountain or walk along the road. Along the way, there are green bamboo shade and natural oxygen bar. Visitors can enjoy the bamboo scenery, watch the bamboo sprouting in spring, and enjoy the cool bamboo forest in summer. When you get to the top of the mountain, you can climb the Red Chamber of bamboo sea, showing a relaxing picture in front of visitors, Xi Mu spring breeze, shanshannanzhucui, slope pan green waves, bamboo shade Tao sound, birds and song. The whole Taohuajiang Bamboo Sea Scenic Area is hilly and undulating with barren peaks. Generally, the altitude is between 100 and 250 meters, with the highest altitude of xuefengao 335.4 meters and the lowest altitude of 37.0 meters

Quzi Temple

It is said that Qu Yuan was exiled to the south of the Yangtze River and rolled around by the Taohua river. In memory of Qu Yuan, later generations built Qu Zi temple. Covering an area of nearly 2000 square meters, Quzi temple has an exhibition hall, which is divided into three parts: Qu Yuan's footprints in Taohua River, deep nostalgia and immortal poems. There are also large steles engraved with "Tian Wen" and "Li Sao". Around the exhibition hall are Buddhist churches, carved with Bodhi, Guanyin Bodhisattva and worshipers.

Singing bamboo Pavilion

Taojiang people love bamboo, precious bamboo and enchanted bamboo. Since ancient times, scholars like to write poems with bamboo, so this pavilion was built. The bamboo reciting Pavilion is located on the hillside of Huoyanshan pass. It has a unique flavor of climbing high and looking far, watching bamboo and reciting poems. It is said that Zheng Banqiao, a poet of the Qing Dynasty, once came here to sing a poem happily: "when the Yamen lie down and listen to the bamboo flute, it is suspected that it is the voice of suffering among the people. This small I Caozhou county officials, a branch and a leaf of total Guanqing. Therefore, a bamboo pavilion was built.

Folk Village

Folk village is located in the gorge of Lijia village pond. 13 bamboo buildings are covered by verdant and green bamboo forest. All the bamboo buildings are made of small water bamboo, with antique flavor. It's warm in winter and cool in summer, elegant and quiet. It's a happy place for lovers to spend their holidays.

Water park

The water park is located on the east side of Houli mountain, where the mountains and rivers are close to the water, the water is close to the mountains, the scenery is unique, and there are several yachts on the water for tourists.

Bamboo house

Located in the Bajiao Pavilion, it was called Bajiao Pavilion at that time, also known as the Red Chamber of bamboo sea. In 1991, Governor Chen Bangzhu went up to watch bamboo. He suggested that he change the name to Guanzhu tower. When you climb up to Guanzhu tower, you can have a panoramic view of the endless bamboo sea, which makes you relaxed and happy.

Jinpen nunnery

It is said that Tang Monk passed by Taohua River and lost a gold pot, which was found by a local people. Therefore, he built a gold pot nunnery to commemorate. This is an ancient temple with an area of more than 600 square meters, which is located on the side of dingzheng mountain. There are Guanyin Bodhisattva, Songzi Niang and eighteen Arhats in it. The incense here is strong, and there are an endless stream of worshipers.

Donglin Temple

Donglin temple was built in the Tang Dynasty by Yuchi Gong, a famous general of the Tang Dynasty. It was relocated and restored in 2009. It is located on a 200 meter hillside of Jinpen, covering an area of more than 1000 square meters. The temple is wide and fragrant all the year round. It is a Buddhist Holy Land in history.

Self driving: take Yiyang railway station as the starting point, you can directly follow the provincial highway S308 in Yiyang, and pass 14 kilometers westward to reach the scenic spot.
