The landscape of "Jiuqu Yellow River" is the most distinctive. When you enter, you can only see the clear water and gurgling sound, but you don't know where it comes from and where it flows. Because of its nine crossing loop, it is called "nine bends of the Yellow River".

Xu Xiake, a geographer of the Ming Dynasty, spent four nights in yannei during his on-the-spot investigation of Jiuyi mountain. In his travel diary of Chu, he listed zixiayan as "the second of the twelve famous caves in southern Chu".
