Construction time

It was built in the reign of emperor Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty by Ye chuhou, a student of the 18th emperor of Luxi. From its foundation to its completion, it went through the Five Dynasties of Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi and Guangxu, lasting for more than 100 years.

Shengwu building was built in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1798-1820). It was built by Ye chuhou, the 18th student of the Ye family in Luxi.

It is said that ye chuhou, the owner of the building, invited more than ten stone, wood and clay carving masters from all over the world to make elaborate works, which took decades to build.
