The total area of Tarim Populus euphratica Forest National Forest Park is 100 square kilometers. Tarim Populus euphratica Forest National Park integrates Tahe natural landscape, Populus euphratica landscape and desert landscape. Populus euphratica is a remnant of the ancient tree species in the third century A.D. it is a plant transformed by desertification. It is as precious as Ginkgo biloba. It has strong vitality and is known as living fossil.

About 10 kilometers southwest of the park, there stands the beacon of the Han Dynasty more than 2000 years ago, which is an immortal monument of soldiers guarding the border.
