Sejila Mountain: it belongs to Nyainqentanglha mountains. It is the boundary between the East and the west of Nyingchi County in Tibet. It is the watershed between Niyang River Basin and palongzangbo river. It is crossed by the south line of Sichuan Tibet highway. Climb to the mountain pass at an altitude of 4728 meters (there will be altitude reaction, and the lack of endogenous oxygen should be prevented), observe the sunrise, the sea of clouds, the boundless forest sea, and overlook the majestic beauty of Namjagbarwa. Benrila mountain, next to Daze village on the west slope of Sejila, is the holy land of Bon religion in Tibet. It is one of the four sacred mountains in Tibet. People who come to visit the mountain for worship all the year round come from all directions. Every August 10 of the Tibetan calendar, there is also a large-scale mountain turning activity called "niangbulasu" (meaning to ask God for treasure).

Climate dividing line: Bayi Town in the northwest of Niyang River Basin is different from Lulang town in the southeast. Therefore, some people say that Bayi Town is in the north of Xiaowan and Lulang town is in the south of xiaojiangnan (Southern Tibet).

It is the watershed between the Niyang River Basin and the palongzangbo river. The distribution of water and air in the Indian Ocean is different on both sides.

The Niyang River originates from cuomuliangla on the west side of Mila, flows from west to East, and joins the Yarlung Zangbo River near Linzhi county,

The total length is 307.5km with a drop of 2273m. Its source is the valley surrounded by ancient glaciation, with an altitude of about 5000 meters. The Niyang River flows out of gongbujiangda, and its banks are suddenly open. At the junction of Linzhi and Milin, it flows into the Yarlung Zangbo River. Here, the river is clear, the river is turbid, and the sandbars are dotted with cattle and sheep. Different seasons present different pastoral scenery. The Niyang River is one of the rivers on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau with good vegetation, beautiful scenery and many scenic spots. There are many wild birds in the scenic zone of Niyang River, which is also a famous wintering area for black necked cranes in Tibet.

The palongzangbo river basin is strongly affected by the Indian Ocean water and air along the Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon passage northward, with abundant rainfall.

Climatic line

There are some differences in water vapor and temperature on both sides of the watershed. The climate of Bayi Town in Niyang River Basin in the north of Sejila is different from that of Lulang town in the southeast. Therefore, some people say that Bayi Town is in the north of Xiaowan, relatively quiet, while Lulang town is in the south of xiaojiangnan (south of Tibet). Northern Anhui and Jiangnan are synonymous with good scenery, but they have different characteristics. In another geographical unit (Southern Tibet in broad sense), Motuo County is a subtropical rainforest, such as Xishuangbanna.

Sejila's most famous is the Rhododendron. The Rhododendron in Sejila Mountain has a large area and many varieties. During the blooming period, it has a great momentum and spectacular scenery. There are about 850 species of Rhododendron in the world, and about 460 species in China, including 170 species in Tibet, accounting for one fifth of the world's Rhododendron species. In the Sejila Mountain Area of Linzhi County, Rhododendron is densely distributed within the altitude range of 2900 meters to 5300 meters. According to the linear distance measurement, the area is more than 1000 square kilometers, and there are as many as 25 varieties.

Best travel season

Rhododendrons bloom from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain from mid April to the end of June. Especially in June, all the azaleas on the whole mountain are in full bloom, yellow, white, purple, bright red, light red, pink and so on. They are in various shapes and forms, forming a mountain of flowers and a sea of flowers. The momentum is extremely magnificent.
