Zhaxidao Temple

Zhaxi Island Temple is located on the island of Namu Lake in Namu Lake Township. Founded by gongtuobatuo Association in 1498, it belongs to Ningma school. Zhaxi island is composed of two small islands. In history, Zhaxi island was the site for the cultivation of living Buddhas. Except for the practitioners, there were no fixed monks.

Lotus peanut Buddha is the main offering in the temple, and duozhui is the representative living Buddha. In history, there were eight monks at most. In 1990, it was restored and opened to the public with the approval of the county government. In 1998, the temple received patriotic education. Before the education, there were 5 monks, and after the education, there were 8 temporary members. A temple management team was established. There is a living Buddha in history.
