Hongkan waterfall is located in the southeast of Yuanmen Township, Baisha Li Autonomous County, 24 kilometers away from the county. The total fall of hongkan waterfall is 145 meters. The waterfall originates from hongkanling, 1101 meters above sea level. On both sides of the waterfall, there are peaks, cliffs and karst rocks.

It's like a silver dragon falling from the sky. Looking up through the green branches and vines, the waterfall flows along the steep mountain and grows along the cliff, just like the gentle and handsome hair on a lady's head, which is a bit natural and elegant. The waterfall is also like a silver snake dancing wildly, with a myriad of scenes of rock folding. Stir up into beads, pearl like bounce; fall into water, crystal like bright; spread into mist, cloud like rouman. When out of time, suddenly bright and dark, add aura to the silent hongkan geological relics. In the rainy season, mountain torrents break out, and the sound of waterfalls is like thunder, shaking the mountains and imposing.

Below the waterfall is the hongkan reservoir with a water surface of nearly 1000 mu. It's an empty mountain valley surrounded by mountains. The water is more like a lake on the plateau. On the one hand, it is reflected by layers of mountains and forests, and on the other hand, it is a large area of flat grass, which flows into the water along the mountains. The whole area has dense forest, diverse vegetation and beautiful ecological environment, which is a good place for exploration, leisure, fishing and vacation.

There are 80000 negative oxygen ions per cubic meter in the air around the waterfall. It has good health care function and is the most suitable for oxygen lung washing. It is a natural forest bathing place.
