Yasang Temple
Yasang temple is located on the hillside of bianke mountain, 4330 meters above sea level, Yasang Township, NAIDONG COUNTY, facing east from the West. It belongs to the main temple of yasanggaju sect.
Yasang Kaju school was founded by Gedan Yixi Seng Ge. Gedan Yixi Seng Ge was a member of menyu. He was a shepherd for others when he was young. Later, he learned dharma as a teacher. In 1206 (the year of fire tiger in Tibetan calendar), his disciple, however, presided over the construction of Yasang temple.
Yasang temple is 360 meters long from north to South and 250 meters wide from east to west. The temple is built close to the mountain and looks like six or seven rows of buildings in the distance. The top of the important Hall of the temple is decorated with a golden roof. In addition, the long zigzag main road around the Panshan temple in front of the temple is matched by the heat of the Potala Palace in Lhasa, so it is also called "little potala".
Yasang Temple mainly supplies alloy statues of Sakyamuni, more than 20 cm higher than the statues of Sakyamuni in Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, as well as the extremely precious Thangka made of satin.
