Rulong Bridge

Rulong bridge, the longest wooden arch bridge in China, is located in Yueshan village, JuShui Township, Qingyuan County, Zhejiang Province. It stretches across Juxi River and runs from north to south. It will be built in 1625, with a total length of 28.2 meters, a clear span of 19.5 meters, a rise of 6.8 meters, a face width of 6 meters and a corridor house of 90 days. It is the longest wooden arch bridge in China with an exact date. Rulong bridge is beautiful in shape, complex in structure, exquisite in workmanship and complete in function. It has certain representativeness and high historical, artistic and scientific value. It was announced as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit in 1997, renovated in 1998, and the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2001.

The internal structure of Rulong bridge is riveted by dozens of thick wood in the bridge, forming the arch plane for erecting Gallery House. In the corridor, the building, the bridge and the pavilion are combined into one, and the Ruyi Dou arches are superimposed layer upon layer, just like the blooming lotus flowers. The shape is exquisite and unique in China. In addition to its beautiful appearance, the Ruyi Dougong can scientifically decompose the gravity at the top of the Gallery House, balance the gravity and make the Gallery House stronger. Above the shrine, there is an ancient plaque with three characters of "rulongqiao". The three characters are vigorous and powerful, just like a giant dragon flying into the sky. It is said that it was written by Wu Zhiqiu, a li man, when he was eight years old.
