Bajiao Temple
Bajiao temple, located in zilingpu Town, Dongbao District, Jingmen City, Hubei Province, 34 kilometers away from Jingmen ancient city, is a natural market town. At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the people here spontaneously organized to build a temple beside the octagonal pavilion in the center of the market town, named "octagonal Temple".
Later, the octagonal pavilion was destroyed in the war.
In July 1931, the red ninth division under the leadership of the Communist Party of China conquered Jingmen. After garrisoning around pailou and zilingpu, the troops concentrated in Bajiaomiao and headed north to Xianju. Bajiao temple is now one of the revolutionary memorial sites in Jingmen City. In 1982, the people's government at a higher level allocated funds to rebuild the octagonal pavilion.
