Guizhou tea culture ecological museum

Guizhou tea culture and ecology museum center is a core Museum of Guizhou tea culture and ecology museum group. It is located in the "China tea city" on Tianwen Avenue, Meijiang Town, Meitan County, Guizhou Province, covering an area of more than 2000 square meters. The exhibition contents mainly include preface hall and 10 parts and 43 units, including "preface", "origin of tea", "ancient tea affairs", "historical famous tea", "Central Experimental tea farm of the Republic of China", "tea cultivation", "tea scientific research", "tea supply and marketing and foreign trade", "contemporary tea industry", "tea ceremony and tea custom". Among them, "tea scientific research" and "tea supply and marketing and foreign trade" are still under construction.

In September 2018, after the museum self-evaluation application, the provincial museum industry organization evaluation, the National Museum Evaluation Committee organized experts to review, and reported to the State Administration of cultural relics for the record, China Museum Association decided to approve Guizhou tea culture ecological museum as the third batch of national third-class museums.

Historical evolution

The museum has been under preparation since March 2013 and opened to the public during the second Zunyi tourism development conference held in Meitan on September 28, 2013.

On September 29, 2013, Guizhou tea culture and ecology museum was settled in Meitan and officially opened to the public. This is the only ecological museum with tea culture as the theme in Guizhou Province. The center of Guizhou tea culture ecological museum, the memorial hall of central experimental tea farm of the Republic of China, Guizhou Tea Industry Museum, Dongfanghong power station exhibition hall and other special museums have been basically built. A group of Guizhou tea culture ecological museums with rich content and profound connotation has been initially built. The completion and opening of the museum group not only fills the blank of Guizhou tea culture theme museum, which has epoch-making significance, but also plays a positive role in fully excavating the connotation of Guizhou tea culture, protecting tea culture ecology, developing tea culture industry and promoting tea culture tourism.

Collection

The museum mainly uses physical objects, pictures, reliefs, multimedia and other exhibition forms, combined with the local architectural elements of Guizhou to carry out the exhibition. Through the modern exhibition form, it gives a brief introduction to the tea development history and tea culture resources of Guizhou Province. Among them, more than 500 pictures and 560 objects were exhibited.

Guizhou is one of the birthplaces of tea tree and tea culture in the world. Tea culture has a long history. Guizhou tea culture ecological museum is a window to understand Guizhou tea culture, a base to protect and inherit Guizhou tea cultural heritage, and an important platform to build Guizhou tea brand.
