Jixing township is under the jurisdiction of Boli County. It is located in the northwest of the county, adjacent to the woken River and adjacent to Huanan County in the north. The township government is 28 kilometers away from the county seat. The name of Jixing Township comes from the name of Jixing village. Jixing village is named after the nearby Jixing river.
geographical position
Originally known as straw hat Ding Zi, it was built in 1901 (the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty). It was under the jurisdiction of Lan Fu at the end of the Qing Dynasty. After the founding of the Republic of China, it was subordinate to Yilan County. In April 1947, it was put under the jurisdiction of Shuanghe county. In May 1948, Shuanghe county was abolished and assigned to Boli County, and Jixing district was set up. In February 1951, it was changed into the Fifth District. In March 1956, Jixing township was set up. In September 1958, it was renamed Jixing people's commune. In March 1984, it was changed to Jixing township.

Jixing township is located in the triangle area where Jixing river flows into woken river. There are many depressions, which are vulnerable to waterlogging. The total area of the township is 118 square kilometers, with 109000 mu of arable land. The main crops are rice, soybean, corn, flax and so on. Township industry has coal mine, zeolite mine, comprehensive processing plant. The township governs 22 villages, including dongjixing, xijixing, quanle, Yonghe, Renhe, Hexin, Tuanshan, gengdu, Yongxing, Heqing, Changtai, Mintai, Minsheng, Minxing, Yihe, Yixin, Changsheng, Fuxing, Taiyang, Houchun, Quanxing and canchang. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 14000, of which the Korean, Manchu and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 17%. The township government is located in xijixing village.
