Daguanyi school is located in the north of the Lin family garden. It was built in 1873 and has a history of more than 100 years. The architectural system is still intact and has been listed as a third class historic site.

Basic introduction

Daguanyixue was set up to eliminate Zhangquan's fighting. During the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, the residents of Zhangzhou and Quanzhou had a fierce struggle. In order to resolve the feud between the two people, the Lin Benyuan family, who came to Taiwan from Zhangzhou, got married with Quanzhou people. Lin weirang, a member of the family, donated money to set up "Daguan book club" (later renamed as Daguan Yixue), which accepted the people of the two places to practice. From then on, the violence was no longer there, and the Daguan Yixue also made the local style of writing more and more popular Rong.

Yixue is not only a school but also a temple. Its main hall is dedicated to the emperor Wenchang. It, together with the Shutong and Jiantong on both sides, are ancient objects that existed at the beginning of the temple construction. They should be the oldest statues of gods in Xinbei city. Confucius was also worshipped in front of the seat, which is still the place where the Confucius Ceremony was held in Xinbei city. Every examination season, some students always come to worship and pray for the examination room to be proud.
