Gullfoss is located 125 kilometers northeast of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. It is 2500 meters wide and 70 meters high. It is the largest fault gorge waterfall in Iceland. The Tahe River forms upper and lower waterfalls here, and the lower channel narrows into torrent.
