Northeast corner and Ilan Coast National Scenic Spot

Northeast Cape and Ilan Coast National Scenic Spot (formerly known as Northeast Cape Coast National Scenic Spot) is a national scenic spot with special geological landscape and history in the northeast corner of Taiwan. It starts from nanyali, Ruifang Town, Taipei County in the north and ends at the southern Cape of neiyu beach, su'ao town in the South. The main administrative districts are Ruifang town and Gongliao Township in Taipei County, Toucheng Town, Zhuangwei Township, WuJie Township and Suao town in Ilan County.

history

In December 1979, the National Chengchi University was invited to complete the "Research Report on the planning of the northeast coast scenic spot", and the "northeast coast scenic spot plan" was drawn up by the housing and Urban Development Bureau of Taiwan provincial government. According to the procedure of the "urban planning law", it was submitted to the Executive Yuan for approval and implementation in February 1982, and the scenic spot was established.

"Northeast coast Scenic Area Management Office" was officially established on June 1, 1984, and was transformed into "Northeast Coast National Scenic Area Management Office" on July 1, 1995. It is located at 36 Xinglong Street, Fulong village, Gongliao Township, Taipei County, next to Fulong bathing beach.

Since December 17, 2007, the Scenic Area officially extends from the north port of Toucheng town in Yilan County to the south, and is included in the coastal area of Yilan County to the east of provincial highway 2. On the same day, it is renamed "northeast corner and Yilan coastal national scenic area".
