Yanzi mountain is located in the southeast of Lingbao City, Jincheng, western Henan Province, within the state-owned Chuankou forest farm, covering an area of 72000 mu, with a forest coverage rate of 99%. It is a national AAAA scenic spot and a National Forest Park, known as "Lingbao back garden" and "forest sea in western Henan".

The main peak of Yanzi mountain is 1497m above sea level, with an average altitude of 1080m. In the scenic area, there are many beautiful peaks, pure pools, towering ancient trees and beautiful mountains and rivers. Two running streams, like jade belts, string up more than ten waterfalls. Yanzi mountain is rich in animal and plant resources, including national key protected animals: leopard, pangolin, red bellied Caragana, musk deer, etc.; national key protected plants: Metasequoia glyptostroboides, cucudgel, Ginkgo biloba, linchunmu, Fraxinus mandshurica, goose palm bundle, etc.; and more than 800 precious medicinal materials such as Gastrodia elata and Ganoderma lucidum. More than 20000 mu of Sophora japonica forest is fragrant every April, which is very beautiful. At the same time, the cultural heritage of the scenic spot is rich, and there are many historical sites and myths and legends around it, which makes people travel in reverie, just like being in a fairyland.

Geology and geomorphology

Yanzishan is located in the southern margin of the North China platform, which is a part of the western Henan fault uplift on the southern margin of the North China platform and adjacent to the Qinling geosynclinal fold system in the south. Its occurrence and development are mainly controlled by the basement of North China platform, and strongly influenced by the Qinling paleotrough and Mesozoic Pacific Rim tectonic activities.

Climatic characteristics

Warm temperate continental semi humid monsoon climate, mild climate, four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 10.7 ℃, the annual precipitation is 606.5mm, and the total sunshine hours is 2253 hours. The content of negative oxygen ions in Yanzi mountain scenic spot reaches 100000 per cubic centimeter, which is a rare holy land for leisure and health preservation!

hydrologic condition

There are two rivers in Yanzishan scenic area. One is located in leijiagou, with a flow length of about 4km, a width of about 2m and a flow of 2m. The other is located in fenghuangyu, with a length of about 14km, a width of about 13m in rainy season and 4m in dry season, and an average annual flow of 10m per second. Due to the ravines on both sides of the valley, the mountain ranges, dense trees, thickets, sufficient water source and rapid water flow, many waterfalls and pools have been formed along the river.

Ten thousand mu black locust ornamental forest

It is located at the intersection of three scenic spots in the forest park, covering an area of more than 13000. The tree is about 15 years old, with an average height of 15 meters and an average diameter at breast height of 18 cm. In April and may every year, Sophora is in full bloom.

Pinus armandii forest in Yanzi mountain

It is located in the middle of Yanzi mountain, with an altitude of 1100-1200 meters and an area of more than 500 mu. It is a plantation built in the 1960s, with an average height of 15 meters and an average diameter at breast height of 25 cm.

Metasequoia glyptostroboides forest

In leijiagou scenic area, there are six artificially planted Metasequoia glyptostroboides forests, which are introduced from the south in the 1960s. Due to the moist soil at the bottom of the ditch, the site conditions are suitable, the trees grow luxuriantly, the forest appearance is neat, the DBH is 30 cm on average, and the tree height is 25 M.

Yanzifeng larch forest

Under the main peak of Yanzi mountain, the altitude is 1400-1497m, covering an area of more than 100 mu, the tree height is about 20m, and the average diameter at breast height is 25cm. It was introduced in 1960s and 1970s. It grows well, has luxuriant branches and leaves, and has been well adapted to the local environment.

Quercus variabilis forest in Qianshan Temple

Located under Qianshan Temple Road, mainly Quercus variabilis is more than 30 years old, with a height of 20 meters and a diameter at breast height of 40 cm. The trunk of Quercus variabilis is straight, with a maximum height of more than 40 meters.

Yanzishan secondary forest

More than 500 mu of secondary forest is preserved in the middle of Yanzi mountain. Quercus Quercus is the main tree species. The forest age is about 60 years. The tree height is 20 meters and the average diameter at breast height is 40 cm.

Twisted forest in Changshou Gorge

One kilometer up the hongpi River scenic spot, there are two forests covering an area of about 100 mu, with the height of 5 or 6 meters and the average diameter at breast height of about 8 cm.

Pinus tabulaeformis forest in Laohugou

On both sides of the road leading to the main peak of Yanzi mountain, there are more than 2000 mu of Pinus tabulaeformis forest in Laohugou, between 1200-1497m above sea level. The tree is 30 years old, 6 meters high and 16 cm in diameter at breast height. It grows well and is luxuriant and blocks the sky.

Ancient oak in Yanzishan

Located at the foot of the main peak of Yanzi mountain, there is an unknown small tree growing on the Quercus tree which is 120 years old. The Quercus tree is about 12 meters high, 60 cm DBH and 2 meters high.

Mochou Lake

Mochou Lake is located at the bottom of Metasequoia glyptostroboides forest in Wangyou valley. The lake has a capacity of about 25000 cubic meters, an area of about 30 mu and a depth of 15 meters.

Metasequoia Avenue

The 2.2km long Metasequoia tree lined trail is located in the valley of forgetting worries. On both sides of the trail, there are luxuriant trees, vines and curtains. Along the way, birds are singing and streams are murmuring. The trail is made of wood and built on the side of the valley bottom near the mountain. The lower half of the trail is about 1.5km long and is supported by pillars about 2m above the river. In the middle of the trail, there is a pavilion built on a 5-meter-high boulder at the corner of the trail, which is called meditation Pavilion.

Banshanlin language

Banshanlinyu is an artificially planted Metasequoia glyptostroboides forest between wangyougu square and Mochou Lake. The average diameter at breast height of this Metasequoia glyptostroboides forest in Yanzi mountain scenic area is 30 cm, and the tree height is about 25 meters. Metasequoia is a rare relict plant in the world, known as "living fossil of plant kingdom" and "giant panda of plant kingdom". There are about 6-7 species of Metasequoia in Mesozoic Cretaceous and Cenozoic, which were thought to have been extinct in the past. In 1941, Chinese botanists first discovered this famous ancient and rare relict tree species in Modaoxi, Wanxian County, Sichuan Province.

The forest of inspirational steles is located at the starting point of dengyanzi peak in wangyougu square. One of the inspirational steles is a preface written by Mr. Zhou tinong, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress and former chairman of the Central Committee of the democratic revolution. 116 inspirational steles have been collected from the forest of inspirational theme steles, all of which are arranged between the four heavenly gates of the Wangyou Valley bathing beach.

Shimen

Starting from the valley of forgetting worries to the main peak of Yanzi mountain, and climbing up the ups and downs of mountain paths, you will see four natural stone gates, namely yitianmen Ximen, ertianmen fumen, Santianmen caimen and 4tianmen transshipment gate. Each stone gate is about 5 meters high and 1 meter narrow.

Yanzi mountain

The main peak of Yanzi mountain is 1497 meters above sea level. When you reach the top of the peak, you can see Lingbao City in the west, Jiuqu Yellow River in the north and Sanmenxia in the East. Changshou gorge tourist area

The upper reaches of Changshou gorge is Tianshui gorge, the middle reaches is Baishou gorge, and the lower reaches is Shengshui gorge. Changshou gorge is 5.1km long, which is 1.1km long for Tianshui gorge, 1.5km long for Baishou gorge and 2.5km long for Shengshui gorge. Changshou gorge winds down from southeast to northwest, from Tianshui waterfall to Shengshui lake, with a drop of more than 50 meters.

Shengshui Lake
