Laojun Mountain is located in the northern Chonghua town of Jiangyou City. It is named after the legend that Taishang Laojun used to alchemy here and Emperor Jianwen of Ming Dynasty lived in seclusion here. The scenic area covers an area of 22 square kilometers, with an altitude of 700-2500 meters.

The scenic area has lush vegetation, quiet environment, waterfalls, forest coverage rate of more than 96%, and a large number of rare animals and plants. In recent years, the ancient site of making nitrate cave discovered in Laojunshan has important scientific research value and tourism value, and is listed as the national key cultural relics protection unit. The tourist route of the scenic spot is connected by the zangwang Valley, Guangling gorge and gunpowder transporting plank road. Among them, the length of the zangwang Valley is 2.1 km, Guangling gorge is 3.2 km, and the length of the powder transporting plank road is 4.5 km. Along the way, there are deep and steep canyons, many caves and waterfalls, including Yuanyang waterfall, Shuangse waterfall, xieyin waterfall, Longzhu waterfall, Yunv waterfall and Shuanglu waterfall, among which shidongtian waterfall falls more than 40 meters. Located in the northern part of Chonghua town and the southern part of Longmen mountain range, the scenic spot covers a total area of 22 square kilometers. It is a comprehensive provincial-level ecological protection area integrating ecological sightseeing, outdoor exploration, searching for the origin of Taoist culture, visiting the site of nitrate making and the hometown of gunpowder.
