Longgeng Road

On the steep wall of xiaochibi cliff, there is a natural plank road which is tens of meters from the ground and hundreds of meters long.

Introduction to longgeng Road

The plank road is two or three meters high, three meters wide and one meter narrow. At Huji rock, people climb from the stone level carved by the ancients, and then walk slowly along the plank road. It is extremely dangerous and interesting.

Surrounding landscape

Sitting and resting, you can see the mountain village on the opposite bank, the farmhouses of Huawu, the smoke of cooking, the smell of chickens and dogs, the sight of Lianxi kuntan, the waterfall and the stones, such as Longshou peak, Gufu peak, luoku peak, zhajianshi, Jiujiao rock, Haoshan, yuzhenyan, Putou stone, Qinglian stone, all of which are enchanting.

Cultural history

According to legend, the majority of the Liu surnames in Xiayang village were Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was dissatisfied with Wang Mang's usurpation of Liu Jiajiang and fought against him. At first, he was outnumbered. One day, he fled to Xiandu.

At the foot of the cliff, Xiang saw that there was no way to go, and heard that the pursuers were coming. He was in great danger. All of a sudden, there was a strong wind, flying sand and rocks, and a torrential rain. I saw the dragon on the South Mountain suddenly arrived, and ploughed a way out of the cliff to get Liu Xiu out of danger. So this plank road is called longgeng road.

Compared with the upper and lower cliffs, the longgeng road is whiter, and many people say it is a white snake road.

It is said that the good Xu Xian was intrigued by Fahai. On the Dragon Boat Festival, he let his wife drink realgar wine, and the white snake appeared to scare her husband to death. Bai Suzhen was very sad. In order to save her husband, she flew over mountains and rivers to collect herbs in Xianshan. In Xiandu pass: she defeated Shitong, rushed to the second pass, and was stopped by the tiger general waiting for the water, so she had to fight with Shihu. They hit from the water into the air, from the air up the cliff. The White Snake was in a hurry, and suddenly passed through the middle of the cliff. Finally, in the yuxu palace behind Dinghu peak, the Antarctic fairy asked her to pick Ganoderma lucidum.
