Yuanjue Temple

Yuanjue temple covers an area of more than 30 mu in ancient times, with about 60 mu of temple land. Up to now, the temple has about 18 mu of land. Yuanjue temple has been restored since 1955. Every brick, every tile, every tree and every flower in Yuanjue Temple embodies the efforts of the abbot. For more than ten years, master Genzong has visited thousands of mountains and rivers, many ancient temples and forests, and many Buddhist palaces.

Introduction to scenic spots

In the Song Dynasty, there was a monk in Lingyin ancient temple in Hangzhou, whose name was ruzhao. He was determined to travel in all directions and spread the Dharma. In the third year of JINGDING (about 1262 A.D.), I came to Liuxi, where I saw Zhong lingyuxiu and extraordinary weather. So I settled down with Lu and named him Yuanjue. Within a few years, Yuanjue Luhu built a Buddhist temple. With the efforts of Zen master ruzhao and his disciples, Yuanjue Buddhist temple became a jungle. The origin of the name of Yuanjue temple is that Zen master Zhao and his disciples often hold Yuanjue Sutra, so the name of Yuanjue temple is still in use today. The architectural features of Yuanjue temple can be summed up in eight words: "the ancient and the modern are compatible and complement each other". The whole temple has three entrances, three halls, five floors, two towers and one side hall. There are two temples left: Women's house and leisure area. The gate is now a brick structure, pavilion style building, founded in 1996. The gate is still built on the ancient site. The original gate's format and address are said to be built near the river bank of the village in front of the temple. It is a stone archway building, which is on the same axis as the present gate.
