Chen's courtyard is a typical closed quadrangle building with exquisite workmanship. The plane layout is relatively symmetrical, with 8-meter-high courtyard walls around. The inner concave of the gate is in the shape of a figure of eight. It is built with a whole piece of polished red sand stone. It is carved with rock.

At the beginning, there are two parallel wooden frame buildings, with an interval of 5.7 meters. The two buildings are connected by side rooms on the left and right, forming a quadrangle and a central courtyard. The back building is more than two meters away from the backyard wall, forming a rear patio. There is a passage from the left side of the back building to the front courtyard corridor. The whole house has a rigorous structure and unique design. In rainy days, you can walk through the corridor before and after the building. There is no worry about rain and humidity, commonly known as "one foot dry". The decoration in the hospital is very exquisite. Qingshiban road leads to courtyard. There is a goldfish pond in the patio, where goldfish count their tails and play games. Next to the pond are rockeries and flower beds. When the flowers bloom, the air of the flowers is blowing and the courtyard is full of fragrance. The central courtyard looks around. The upper and lower floors all use half waist lattice windows. The back hall and the upper living room all use half waist lattice six door. Paoma building is surrounded by car stalls and vase shaped wooden railings, which are antique and elegant. Visitors come here, stroll the corridor, taste the carving, often linger.
