Songshugou

Songshugou is a nature reserve in Karamay and bukesaer Mongolian Autonomous County, Xinjiang.

It is located 40 kilometers northeast of Karamay and bukessel Mongolian Autonomous County, Xinjiang, with an altitude of about 1800 meters. There are high mountains, deep water and dense pine forests. On shuangtuo ridge in the west of Songshugou, there is a waterfall about 50 meters long. The cool and clean waterfall water splashed down the concave pool and ran to the depth of the depression. On the lawn of damuqia in the pine forest, every spring, summer and autumn, the pink and snow-white peony, the golden canary, the purple wild rose and the elegant mountain chrysanthemum are in various forms. In Songshugou, there are more than 200 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines, such as Astragalus membranaceus, Fritillaria thunbergii, Panax japonicus, Mentha haplocalyx, and dozens of exotic animals and rare birds, such as argali, snow leopard, wild donkey, crane, snow pheasant, Canary, and so on.

Songshugou has unique scenery. Hebukesaer Mongolian Autonomous County often holds jianger concerts and Mongolian wrestling competitions in chagankule Township under Songshugou.
