Baizhu ancestral hall

Baizhu ancestral hall, also known as "Jingyi hall", is an isolated example of Huizhou architecture in the transitional period of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi, Baizhu ancestral hall is composed of courtyard, gatehouse, main hall, back hall and back bedroom. The beams of the ancestral hall are decorated with patterns such as "fish spitting clouds" and "dragon and Phoenix presenting auspiciousness". The carving is very exquisite. The four stone bases are deeply decorated with "egrets playing with lotus", "Phoenix playing with peony", "crane climbing the clouds" and "magpie containing plum".
