Historical records

Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, led his army to Anping (which was still a wilderness at that time). After a long-distance attack, his troops were very tired. When he returned home triumphantly, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty improvised the place name as "Anping" and ordered the construction of a Da'an temple in Anping with bank silver.

Restoration and reconstruction

In 1992, CITIC Guoan Group invested in the construction of the first city in Anping, Xianghe. Because the former site of Da'an temple is located in the first city, the majority of Buddhist believers have asked the people's government to restore the Buddhist activity site of Da'an temple.
