Julong Lake

Julong lake is located in Houxinqiu Town, northeast of Zhangwu County, 140 km away from Fuxin city. In 1959, the reservoir was rebuilt by Chaocha river. There is a shoal on the lake bank, which is a natural bathing place. It is a tourist scenic spot integrating tourism, wind power generation, irrigation and flood control, aquaculture, leisure and entertainment

History of scenic spots

In 1959, the reservoir was reconstructed and completed in 1970. When the reservoir was built, it was named "Julong Lake" because of the excavation of two water diversion channels, which were shaped like dragon whiskers.

It was renamed "Dongfanghong" reservoir in 1966.

In 1984, the original name of "Julong Lake" was restored.

On May 15, 2013, the plaque of "healthy aquaculture demonstration farm" awarded by the Ministry of agriculture was hung in julonghu reservoir, Zhangwu County, Fuxin city

Julong lake is located 1 km northwest of Yueyuan village, Houxinqiu Town, northeast of Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, 35 km away from the county. Zhangkang highway can pass through Zhangwu, Fuxin city. It belongs to the transition section of Northeast Plain, Inner Mongolia Plateau and Liaohe plain.

Scenic spot landscape

The catchment area of julonghu reservoir is 27.5 square kilometers. The main dam is 1825 meters long, 55 meters high and 4.5 meters wide. The total reservoir capacity is 14.4 million cubic meters. It is a medium-sized reservoir mainly for agricultural irrigation, tourism development, aquaculture and comprehensive utilization of flood control. The total control area of the reservoir is 219.8 square kilometers, including 27.5 square kilometers of the upstream area above the dam site and 192.3 square kilometers of the upstream area above the sluice gate, with a maximum storage capacity of 14.46 million cubic meters

Xingli reservoir has a capacity of 6.24 million cubic meters, a dam length of 1850 meters, a maximum water surface area of 6000 mu and a normal water surface area of 4000 mu.

Tourism projects include cruise ship, water sightseeing, water boat, fish feast in the middle of the lake, and fishing in the lake. There are 1850 meter dam, Lake Island and laomu temple. As the reservoir is close to mountains and rivers, the hill in the middle of the reservoir is a natural island. Julong lake has added yachts, fishing and other facilities to become a tourist attraction. Visitors can enjoy the broad lake by yacht. To the lake, the water and the sky are the same color, and the vast expanse is like entering the water town of the south of the Yangtze River. There is a small island in the lake, covering an area of about 10 mu. A "Dragon Pavilion" has been built on the island, a water restaurant has been set up, and a "fish feast" has been launched, which is popular with tourists
