Chihu Lake
Chihu lake, located in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is the fifth largest natural lake in Jiangxi Province with an area of 68.9 square kilometers. It is located in Chaisang District in the East and Ruichang City in the West. It is separated from the Yangtze River only by a dike in the northeast.
At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Chen Youliang and Zhu Yuanzhang fought here several times. On November 17, 1929, the Communist Party of China launched a "port riot" here and set up a red lake guerrilla group to open up a revolutionary base.
