Exhibition hall of Mao Zedong's former residence
In the spring of 1948, Mao Zedong led the central authorities of the Communist Party of China to leave Yan'an and drive through northwest Shanxi to Xibaipo, Hebei Province. His former residence is at the Tayuan temple in Taihuai town.
The left room of the main room in the backyard is the former residence of Mao Zedong. The room is decorated as it is. On the Kang is a military quilt. On the ground is a wooden table with an inkstone and a bamboo tube with a writing brush. In front of the table is a wooden chair. On the square platform between the wooden table and the edge of the Kang is a brazier and a copper teapot. There are three East rooms in the backyard, with the main room in the middle and the former residences of Zhou Enlai and Ren Bishi on the left and right.
