Located about 13.5 kilometers west of taimalishi street, jinzhenshan leisure agriculture zone was designated in 1990. It is one of the earliest leisure agriculture zones in the province, covering an area of 462 hectares and the highest altitude of 1450 meters.

This place is mainly a holy land for many medicinal plants. It is the experimental forest area for malaria medicinal research. It is specially planted with cinchona frost and other medicinal materials.

Cherry blossom is in full bloom from January to February every year. There are wild lilies from March to April, hydrangeas from May to July, golden needles from August to October and apricots from November to December. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of flowers all over the mountains all year round

After the restoration of Taiwan, it was changed into a afforestation area. After the August 7th flood in 1958, the people of Meishan area in Jiayi moved to the golden needle mountain to make a living, bringing the golden needle seedlings of Meishan to grow on the mountain. Because of the high terrain, low temperature and high humidity, the golden needle produced was tender and fragrant, It is one of the main production areas in the province with bright color and abundant output. Golden needle once brought a lot of wealth to the villagers in Taimali. However, the market of golden needle has been greatly reduced since 1986. Some farmers have reduced the planting area of golden needle. There are about 110 hectares left in 2018. Golden needle mountain is still one of the three main production areas of golden needle in Eastern Taiwan, and it is also the most important tourist attraction in Taimali. This area was opened in 82 It was first planned to be built in 1983 under the guidance of soil and Water Conservation Bureau, county government, Township Office and farmers' Association of Taimali region. The agricultural specialties of Jinzhen mountain include Jinzhen, tea, pineapple, sweet persimmon, Shuimi peach, aiyuzi, ginger, alpine vegetables and so on. From the end of July to the end of August every year, the township government office and the farmers' Association jointly hold the golden needle blossom season activities to attract a large number of tourists and market local B & B and agricultural products. The farmers in Jinzhen mountain are not only engaged in agricultural production, but also in the direction of leisure and tourism in 2018.
