Ha-ma-seng

HAMA star is a place name located in Gushan District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It generally refers to the port line railway (which has been stopped) in the south of the intersection of Wufu 4th Road and railway, to Gushan fishing port and fishing market in the East, to Kaohsiung Port Station in the East, and to the east side of shaochuantou in the West.

Historical development

Since 1908 (Meiji 41), when the Japanese built Dagu harbor, they used dredged channel silt to fill the land for quay and Xinshi street, and built a coastal railway here. In 1912, the birth place of HAMA appeared. Today, hamaxing area is generally called nangushan Shili of Kaohsiung City. It is located on the east side of the railway and Yanyao District, on the west side of the Taiwan Strait, on the north side of Shoushan as a screen, and on the south side of Kaohsiung port. It is a pocket type community. It is also the starting point for immigrants to enter Kaohsiung.

During the Japanese occupation period, because of the establishment of Dagu port (today's Kaohsiung port) and Dagu post (today's Kaohsiung Port Station), HAMA star was the general hub of land and water transportation at that time. At the same time, it is also the center of Politics (Municipal Service Center, police department), economy, education and culture. It is the most prosperous city of Hong Kong and waterfront. However, due to the limitation of hinterland and the relocation of railway stations (1941), plus the Allied bombing in the Second World War, the buildings were severely damaged and the population was lost.

After the restoration, the government vigorously supported the fishery, making HAMA star an important fishing town in southern Taiwan. Once again, a large number of people poured into HAMA star to operate the fishery and related industries, and the prosperous streets of the past reappeared. However, after the completion of the second port and the modern deep-sea specialized fishing port wharf in qianzhen in 1975, the fishing association of Kaohsiung District moved for 73 years, resulting in the loss of a large number of people and the decline of HAMA star industry again.

HAMA star has rich historical memory, beautiful natural landscape, and is also the academic community of Sun Yat sen University. In recent years, residents, government departments and academic units of the community have tried to inject new vitality into the community, and by means of activities and tracing back to the source, let the world know this area again, and make it a model for the reconstruction of urban humanities.

This council intends to lead the residents to look for history, so as to inspire the consensus of residents to love our community, promote culture, greening and regionalization, and enhance the well-being of residents in the community.

General construction of community

In 1995, after the "Kaohsiung City Conference" was held in Kaohsiung City, scholars and the 21st Century City Development Association of Kaohsiung City jointly thought about improving the quality of life in Kaohsiung City as the beginning of the healthy city movement. Prof. Wu Yingming of Sun Yat sen University and Prof. Hong Fufeng of Kaohsiung Normal University were the conveners. They proposed that hamaxing community is a good place for the development of community construction because of its rich geographical environment resources, mountains and water. In October 84, they began to train guide volunteers, gather hamaxing enthusiastic volunteers, and jointly set up the "construction studio of hamaxing community in Kaohsiung City". At the end of 1985, Professor Guo Ruikun of Sun Yat sen University also participated in the guidance and assistance to promote the first stage (86.1-86.6) and the second stage (86.8-87.1) of the "overall construction and implementation plan of hamaxing community in Kaohsiung - regeneration of hamaxing". He completed many activities and community plans in succession, and promoted the "urban renewal plan of shaochuantou and hamaxing areas in Kaohsiung" And the "implementation plan of Linhai 2nd Road, Binhai 2nd Road and shaochuanjie advertising demonstration area in hamaxing District of Kaohsiung City". On September 24, 1987, the overall construction studio of hamaxing community was officially registered as "hamaxing Cultural Association of Kaohsiung City", hoping to continue to contribute to the community.

Tourism and scenery

HAMA star and Zuoying are the earliest developed areas in Kaohsiung. They are rich in cultural connotation and tourism resources. In order to let domestic tourists enjoy themselves in Kaohsiung, the Cultural Bureau of Kaohsiung Municipal government, in combination with the Transportation Bureau and the Tourism Bureau, launched the "time tunnel treasure map HAMA star old city tourism and culture bus".
