Despair slope is a section of mountain road in Wugong Mountain Scenic Area in Luxi County, Pingxiang City. It is between Jinding scenic area and fayunjie scenic area. It is named for its large slope and long slope road.

Despairing slope is located in Wugong Mountain Scenic Area of Pingxiang City. It is a long and steep ridge road with an altitude of 1360m to 1710m and a vertical drop of 350m. Desperation slope is the only way to cross from Jinding to yangshimu or Mingyue Mountain. The mountain is steep and ups and downs.

From the bottom of the slope to the top of the mountain, the mountain road is rugged and narrow, and the meadows on both sides are continuous, but the cliffs make people despair. The steepest position has a slope of nearly 70 degrees, but you can only walk on the unrepaired mud and stone road, and crawl slowly with both hands and feet.

Although the slope of despair is long and steep, it makes people despair. But the scenery along the way is also unique and beautiful. Due to the high altitude, there are often clouds in the mountains, such as entering fairyland. The continuous mountains are overgrown with vegetation, which gives people a sudden impression of "the sky is vast and the wild is vast, the wind blows grass and the cows and sheep are low". And when you cross the slope of despair, you will also have a sense of self conquest. In fact, walking in Wugong mountain is like a desperate slope in many places, but as long as you have courage and perseverance, the steepest mountain will become your background.
