Ganoderma tower

Ganoderma tower is located in majiadu, 1km east of Ancheng town. According to the rule of Anji County written by Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, "it is said that it was built during the Five Dynasties of Wu and Yue.". The solid brick tower with eight sides and nine floors is 23 meters high. Each side of the bottom tower is 1.65 meters wide, and each side of each floor is equipped with niches. The Tasha is composed of covering bowl, phase wheel and gourd top. In 1994, a Tiangong temple in the seventh year of Qingli (1047) of the Northern Song Dynasty was restored, and a piece of Lingzhi Pagoda with inscriptions on gold and painted pagoda was unearthed. Some coins, glass bottles and bronze mirrors from the Tang Dynasty to the Northern Song Dynasty were also unearthed.

In December 1989, the people's Government of Zhejiang Province announced that the Ganoderma lucidum tower was a cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.

This kind of solid Pagoda with flat brick and water caltrop shaped eaves developed into a kind of Pavilion style pagoda system in song, yuan and Ming Dynasties. Judging from the shape, the hook head and dripping water preserved in the pagoda may be relics of that time, which is relatively rare.

In the Five Dynasties, Qiantang King Qian (the founder of Hangzhou City) ruled Anji, and some villagers found Ganoderma lucidum in majiadu, which caused a sensation. As before, Ganoderma lucidum is a royal product, which is not allowed to be eaten by the common people. If you get it, you must offer it to the imperial court. Because of the production of Ganoderma lucidum to gather heaven and earth aura, it is a blessed place. Qian Zhen built the tower here to remember it. In fact, it used to be a county (equivalent to the capital of the province). When Buddhism was popular, temples and pagodas were the symbols of a county.
