Weibin Park

Weibin park is located in the center of Xianyang City, adjacent to Weihe River and Qindu District in the west, across the river from Xi'an, with convenient transportation. The park is mainly composed of natural garden layout, with cultural entertainment area, animal viewing area and rest area. The total area is more than 420 mu, including 98.7 mu of water surface and 92% of green coverage. It is known as "the Bank of Weishui River and green pearl".

Development history

Weibin Park was founded in 1959. After nearly 50 years of construction, the former wasteland has become a comprehensive cultural entertainment and rest place integrating gardens, ancient buildings, recreation, breeding, viewing and catering services. Now it has built 7 special flower gardens, more than 30000 trees and shrubs, nearly 10000 square meters of lawn, more than 3000 square meters of garden building area, as well as qinfenglou, Yudai bridge and Qinyuan There are more than ten representative scenic spots, such as, tulip garden, cypress forest, Honglian lake, etc.

Transformation and upgrading

Since the completion of Weibin Park in 1964, there has been no large-scale transformation of facilities, so the infrastructure in the park is old and does not match the whole Xianyang Lake scenic area. In order to deepen the creation of national garden city and improve the happiness index of citizens, the municipal government invested 15 million yuan to upgrade Weibin Park, which is also the largest transformation of Weibin Park since its establishment.

It is understood that the transformation mainly involves the widening and upgrading of roads, the transformation of power grid, water network and drainage pipe network, and the renovation of some Lakeshore. In addition, pavilions, docks and other ancillary facilities will be renovated. The reconstruction project started at the end of September, with a construction period of 90 days.
