Qingdao No.2 bathing beach is also called "taipingjiao bathing beach". It is a beach bathing beach adjacent to Badaguan villa area. Its area is smaller than that of No.1 bathing beach. Qingdao No.2 bathing beach is located in Taiping Bay to the east of Huiquan Bay. Because it is located in Taiping Bay, it is also called "Taiping Cape bathing beach". Next to huashilou is the second bathing beach, which is located in the Badaguan convalescent area of Qingdao city and the east side of Huiquan corner in Taiping Bay. When it was first built, it was called "Shanhaiguan road bathing beach", adjacent to Shanhaiguan road Seaside Park, with quiet environment and beautiful scenery. The enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee was held here in 1957. Chairman Mao Zedong swam here many times.

Anecdotes

There is a lotus pond and a garden in the north of the second bathing beach. After liberation, many Chinese leaders, scientists, artists, and foreign heads of state, such as Prince Sihanouk of Cambodia, have swam in this bathing place, leaving unforgettable memories.

Chairman Mao Zedong loved swimming all his life. When he was in Qingdao in 1957, he came to the second bathing beach five times. Jiang Qing, li ne, Li Min, Mao Yuanxin, etc. also swim with Chairman Mao. Chairman Mao likes backstroke. He has to swim for more than an hour each time. Sometimes he dived into the water for a long time, which made the guards give a false alarm. From the second bathing beach back to the hotel, on the way through Muping Road near Zhongshan Park, Chairman Mao praised: "it's very good here, just like the avenue of Zhongshan Mausoleum in Nanjing."
