Ma Yifu's former residence
Ma Yifu's former residence is located in the center of Houzhuang Village (now Changtang Village) of Changtang town. It was originally Zhao's mansion, and the local people called it zhaojiataimen. It was first built in November, 1805 A.D., by the son of Zhao ouzhang. It is divided into three courtyards: front, middle and back, surrounded by a stone wall (the size of the green brick of the wall is 27 ⁃ 37cm), with dayuanli in the front and an inland river quay in the back. Ma Yifu lives on the west side of the central courtyard, one, two, three rooms beside the Zhao family's block building. The connecting room between the block building and the central hall serves as a kitchen, and the ground is paved with green bricks. Later, because of Changmao rebellion, and after many vicissitudes, Ma Yifu's former residence now has only bedroom and study. Although things are right and people are wrong, the former residence is like a light penetrating the night, shining over the Changtang forever.
