Ruiyun mountain is located in Chenda Town, Meilie District, Sanming City, Fujian Province, 40 kilometers away from the city center. It is named because of the colorful clouds in the mountain. With an area of 21 square kilometers and a maximum altitude of 1249.8 meters, the scenic spot is the largest volcanic Landform Scenic Spot in Fujian Province, integrating unique volcanic landform and rich evergreen broad-leaved forest landscape.

Main attractions

The main scenic spots are Yongxing rock, jade girl dressing, Wangfu rock, Fengwei waterfall, love slope, etc. The natural Giant Buddha formed by the volcanic crater is the best in China. The yongxingyan temple, a thousand year old temple embedded in the volcanic cave, is a place where Buddhism and Taoism live together, showing its magic and auspiciousness. The ancient rattan array is a unique wonder of Ruiyun mountain. There are thousands of years of history of the ancient rattan intertwined, constitute a ring dragon array, magnificent. Ruiyun cave

The cave is 30 meters deep, 61 meters wide and more than 4 meters high, shaped like a lion's mouth. The top of the cave is covered with pines, the flowing water is murmuring, like pearls and curtains, hanging at the entrance all the year round. There are several cliff inscriptions since the Song Dynasty, including the inscription "you Rong" by Zhihan, the censor of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795), and couplets such as "people hide jade in the stone, and visitors come to the cave to separate the bead curtain". Yiyan has a five bay wooden temple built in the Song Dynasty. It is a hall for Buddhists, Taoists and local gods. It is full of incense. Since Ming Dynasty, it has been repaired many times. The stone gate in front of the cave was built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722) and engraved with the word "Ruiyun cave". The single arch stone bridge in front of the mountain gate was built in the Ming Dynasty, with a simple style.

Northeast of the cave, out of the mountain gate, there is an ancient tree, vigorous and straight, under the shade of the stream water circling, known as longevity spring. Beside the spring, there is a inscription "Yuquan waterfall" inscribed by tourists during the Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty (1368-1398). In the southwest of the cave, there are many landscapes, such as refuge cave, small sky, fish pond, etc.

There are 192 species of plants in 31 families in the scenic area. All over the mountain, the ancient vines are soft and vigorous, like dragons and snakes, winding and colorful, which is a major feature of the scenic spot.

Three experience areas

The planning scope of Ruiyun mountain includes the tourism comprehensive service and business leisure of the comprehensive service resort, the theme street of the old revolutionary base area, the red culture Memorial Park and the Red Army's long march in the red scene experience area, and the landscape leisure line of the three-dimensional landscape leisure experience area, with a total area of 177.98 hectares. Among them, there are 19.06 hectares of comprehensive tourism services, 24.8 hectares of business leisure and vacation, 16.14 hectares of theme street in the old revolutionary base area, 55.48 hectares of red culture Memorial Park, 37.3 hectares of landscape three-dimensional leisure line with a length of 4248 meters, and 25.2 hectares of Red Army Long March line with a length of 4800 meters. The scenic spot makes full use of the ocean red base, introduces Chinese red culture, integrates ecological culture, and strives to build a national 5A boutique scenic spot.

Planning time

Ruiyun mountain scenic spot official said that the planning period of the scenic spot is 13 years, which is divided into three phases: the short-term (2013-2015) key construction period, the medium-term (2016-2020) rapid development period, and the long-term (2021-2025) long-term stable period. Taking 1921 as the starting point and 1949 as the ending year, the major events in the history of the party and the army are taken as the clue of time and space, and the major red cultural context of "making the world new, firing the first shot, red footprint, revolutionary turning point, victory meeting, eventful years, dawn and revolutionary victory" is intersected, so as to review the arduous and brilliant years and show the historical achievements of the old revolutionary base areas in central Fujian. The plan will concentrate China's red culture and recreate China's revolutionary history in the form of site reproduction, situational reappearance, browsing display, participation experience and large-scale performance.

At present, the "Red Army cave" is being dug on the mountain to divert water from the other side of Ruiyun mountain, and a 500 meter long waterfall will be built, which will be completed in July 2014. At the same time, a cable car from the entrance of the scenic spot to the top of the mountain will be added to meet the different needs of passengers. The construction of Ruiyun mountain scenic spot will not only achieve good economic and social benefits, but also create conditions for maintaining the ecological environment, so as to achieve good environmental benefits.
