Bologuze is located in Boluo Township, Jiangda County, on both sides of Zhaqu River, a tributary of Jinsha River, about 50 kilometers away from the county seat, and is accessible by car.

Here green mountains and green waters, large forest area, many kinds of trees, especially the birch, which is a unique tree species here. According to the survey, there are as many as 152 skilled artists who can carve Sutra plates independently in the Baltic area. The Sutra plate now stored in dege Sutra Printing Institute is mainly the masterpiece of the engravers in the boroguze area. Boroguze's engravers can not only carve the Sutras of danjul and ganjul, but also carve the patterns of horse flag and Buddha. This place has a long history of carving scriptures, a large number of engravers and a high level of carving skills, which is rare in other parts of Tibet and is worthy of the name of "hometown of wood carving".
