The carpet museum looks like a hand woven carpet rack from the outside. Its architectural style is octagonal. It is a modern building. It was built in 1977. There are two halls and a spacious basement, covering an area of 3400 square meters. There are two large glass cabinets on both sides of the entrance of the exhibition hall. One glass cabinet is equipped with carpet dyeing materials, such as pomegranate peel, walnut shell, madder, Melilotus, indigo, jarosite, etc., while the other glass cabinet is equipped with hand-woven carpet Such as all kinds of scissors, crochets and needles for carpet weaving.

Collection

More than 5000 pieces of fine and rough carpets hand-woven in various cities of Iran from the 16th century to the 20th century are exhibited. It began to open to the outside world in 1979. Persian carpet is famous all over the world. It has strict requirements in raw material selection, color matching, pattern design and weaving skills. It can be called one of the finest, most decorative, most valuable and best quality carpets in the world.

Among these carpets, the most beautiful one is a pure silk hand woven tapestry of great Brits. The design of the tapestry is the palace of King ghaznavi. The density of the tapestry is 70 columns. The tapestry is made of pure silk and was woven in the 19th century.

Another beautiful tapestry is also made in the great Bolshevik. There are many round patterns in the tapestry. In the center of the circle is the wonderful war scenes in the book of kings by the famous Iranian poet fildoshi, and the edge of the circle is poetry. The tapestry was woven in 1805.

After dyeing and printing with dyestuffs extracted from natural plants and minerals, the pattern is still brilliant and colorless after hundreds of years.

Among the exhibits are many of the best of the 19th century. All kinds of figures in national costumes, birds and animals in different shapes, flowers, birds, fish and insects, as well as some historical themes, have become the design materials of carpet artists in this period. Some of the exhibits narrate some important events in the historical development of Iran.
