Transportation: long distance bus. Changdu has long distance bus between Chengdu and Lhasa. The whole journey from Changdu to Chengdu is 1218 km, which takes three days and two nights. There are two or three long-distance buses every week. Qamdo and Lhasa are 1081km away. The driving time is four days and three nights, but the frequency is variable, depending on the number of people and road conditions. If the number of passengers exceeds 20 and the road condition is ideal, ask the passenger station to arrange the departure.

Tourist bus: the local tourism bureau will also set up a long-distance tourist bus to Lhasa. As the passengers are mainly tourists, they don't drive at night, but have to go to the hotel to "tip off" (meaning to rest or eat on the way), so it takes more time, and the whole journey takes 5 or 6 days.
