Guohua abacus
Guohua abacus museum is located in the east of Linhai City. There are more than 1300 kinds of abacus, more than 3000 pieces of abacus historical materials, and more than 1500 photos and materials of abacus activities at home and abroad.
History and culture
The earliest abacus was used in the Ming Dynasty; the largest abacus is 1.68 meters high, 6.25 meters long and weighs 1008 kg; the longest abacus is 225 gears; the heaviest abacus weighs 589 kg, and the smallest abacus is only half the size of a nail. There are abacuses made of gold, silver, copper, iron, aluminum, precious stones, ivory, pearls, ceramics, wood, stone and other materials, as well as abacuses made of various shapes. There are many kinds of products. It is the only museum with abacus display in China, which is a collection of ancient and modern abacus. "Guohua abacus Museum" displays a history of abacus. There are more than 500 kinds of abacuses gathered here. They are not only exquisite products from the Ming Dynasty, but also abacuses from Japan, the United States, Russia and other countries. They are multi-level, pagoda shaped, four treasures of the study and other shapes. There are abacuses made of various materials, such as gold, silver, copper, jade, ivory, jade bracelets and so on The world's "four most" abacus: the largest wooden abacus, the heaviest metal abacus, the longest abacus, and the smallest abacus attract people's attention.
