Castanopsis mountain is located at the head of Shanglin Hunan in Cixi, Zhejiang Province. There is a strange mountain, 424 meters above sea level. It is covered with trees and the waterfall roars in the stream. That is Castanopsis mountain (also known as Xianju mountain). However, there is no way to know the origin of the name of Castanopsis fargesii. It is only a small scale and a half claw to understand it literally. The name of Castanopsis fargesii is very particular. There is a poem by the predecessors, which says that "embroidery should go to the spring garden, and attract the yellow warbler into the willow". It is said that the embroidery girl used her own skillful hand to embroider exquisite works to attract Huang Ying. However, the mountain, water, stone and wood of Castanopsis Kawakami mountain are all made by nature, without any trace of artificial chiseling. Just like its name, it is primitive and simple. The mountain is divided into two peaks, East and West, which are called East and West Castanopsis respectively. When you climb to the top of East Castanopsis when the weather is fine, you can see the whole picture of Shanglin lake. The peaks of Cuiping mountain are long and creeping around you, which means you can see all the mountains. There is a valley between the two peaks, and the stream at the bottom of the valley is turbulent. This is the Castanopsis river.

Scenes and legends

Follow the Tanaka River between the two peaks. Because it is located at the mouth of the valley, the water is very urgent. You can hear the sound of running water from a long distance. On the left side of dashanlongkou, there used to be a temple, called Longqing temple. It was built in the reign of Liang Datong, but now it has collapsed. On the right side of the hill, there is a big round stone standing abruptly, which is called chessboard stone. It is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, the two stars of the South and the Big Dipper once played chess here. While playing chess, they condescend to observe the social customs, so as to make different retributions for good and evil. On both sides of the stream, there are lush pines and fir trees. When spring comes, it is full of flowers, fragrance, butterflies and Orioles. Further down there is a pan Tuo stone. It is said that it was the place where the gods were fishing in Shanglin lake, so it is also called fishing stone. It is said that the eight immortals roamed here to have a rest. A Monopterus albus escaped in pain, and later turned into a mountain of Huang Jue with head high and tail slanting across the lake. However, the whirlpool in the water was quite urgent. Li Yu, Tieguai, swung his shoulder pole to pick up two huge stones from the mountain to fill the hole. He went to drink the water of the river because of thirst, but the stones didn't go flat, Rolling down the slope, tie guaili's foot was crushed, no longer have the strength to carry the stone, to this day, the two boulders are still standing in the stream.

It can be seen that Castanopsis fargesii has a long history. If you have the confidence and perseverance to move forward, you can see a flying stream coming down from the sky. It is the famous Castanopsis waterfall. From a distance, it looks like silver and crystal clear. The mountain is full of fog, roaring and magnificent. At the upper end of the waterfall, there is a dangerous stone, such as Liang Hengkong, which is born in the world The towering and rugged rocks are full of aura, giving people a sense of transcendence and immortality. If it wasn't for uncanny craftsmanship, who could have created such a wonderful scene?

Waterfall ridge, there are many wild camellia. Every year before and after Qingming Festival, the tender buds are fragrant. The ancient famous "Xianming tea" is produced here. Lu Yu of Tang Dynasty mentioned in the book of tea that "both Mingzhou and Taizhou produced tea in Yuezhou", and "the more produced tea is the best.". Lu Yu also said: "Yuyao County waterfall spring ridge, said Xianming." In addition, according to Yuyao liucangzhi, "pubuling is located in the stream of Castanopsis", which shows that "Xianming" is worthy of the name. Taste "xianmingzhu tea", round and solid, Baihao faint, brew a cup, full of fragrance; drink a mouthful, soul stirring, it is "fragrant in Jiudan aromatic orchid gas, round as biyuzhu walking plate."
