Zhailiaoxi, the full name of zhailiaoxi scenic spot, is located in the south of Donggong mountain range and is the remnant of nanyandang mountain. Zhailiaoxi scenic spot has been listed as the second batch of provincial scenic spots by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government in 1992. It covers an area of 64 square kilometers, with a total area of 174.8 square kilometers. The whole area is composed of nine scenic spots, with zhailiaoxi scenic spot as the center, yunu Valley and jiuzhutan scenic spot in the south, Longtan and huilongjian scenic spot in the East, Feiyun lake and fumenxi scenic spot in the West, Tengyan Waterfall Scenic Spot in the north and Huayan scenic spot in the northeast.

The streams of zhailiao River are winding and slow at times; the streams sometimes follow the trend of the mountains and open and close at once; the streams are rippling and clear; the oases beside the streams are rocky and the bamboo trees are swaying; the mountains on both banks are winding and the green valleys are crisscrossing. There are not only the idyllic scenery of "small bridges, flowing water and people", but also the rich mountain countryside in southern Zhejiang. People sum up that there are four spirits in zhailiao River, which are Huayan Diecui, Jiuzhu Ningbi, zhailiao River Xiu and jumen raft.

The water of zhailiao river flows as Qingxi, stored as Bitan, hanging as the Milky way, and flowing as misty rain. The silver waterfall Bitan is a great landscape of zhailiao River, especially the waterfall pool. Here, there are waterfalls on the pool, and there are pools on the waterfall. Some waterfalls are like dragons, flying straight down, the deep water of the pool is urgent, and the sound is like thunder; some waterfalls are like smoke, swirling and scattering, and the pool is green and crystal clear; some waterfalls are like silver training, and the steps slide down, and the pool is like pearls. Some waterfalls are like rainbows, which are wonderful and mysterious... The stream is abundant, never dry all the year round, and can be enjoyed all the year round.

Among the various mountains and valleys in zhailiaoxi scenic area, there are many colorful and pictographic cave. The turtle cave, the silver cave, the water curtain cave, the immortal cave and so on are all examples. Outside the cave, the mountain flowers are brilliant; beside the strange stone, the grass is fragrant; the cliff is abrupt, and the moss is smooth.

Zhailiao river is rich in plant resources, which is even more amazing. Luxuriant plants, lush and luxuriant, thousands of trees competing for beauty, flowers competing for beauty, clouds flourishing, complicated, add a gorgeous color to the scenic spot. When spring returns to the earth, Cangshan is verdant and full of flowers; in summer, the sun is covered with thick shade and luxuriant; in autumn, the forests are dyed and the wild fruits are fragrant; in winter, Cangshan is wrapped in vegetarians and enchanting.

Zhailiaoxi has a warm and humid climate, four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, no severe heat in summer and no severe cold in winter, and the annual average temperature is about 28 ℃. The natural scenes of the four seasons, clear rain and snow, haze and clouds, which are caused by the weather changes, give a mysterious color to the mountains and waters of zhailiao river.
