Sanmao paradise

The park covers an area of 29 mu, which is divided into five scenic spots: front area, memorial area, children's activities area, island in the middle of the lake area and the original children's Park.

Introduction to paradise

In front of the garden stands a 26 meter high bronze statue of Zhang Leping and "San Mao" staring and smiling. The base of the bronze statue is engraved with Zhang Leping's handwriting: "big trees grow up from seedlings. We should carefully irrigate the seedlings. In front of the front right of the garden is "Mr. Zhang Leping Memorial Hall", which is inscribed by literary master Ba Jin.

The memorial hall is a two-story building with six exhibition halls, one exhibition room and one creation room. The museum displays pictures and written materials about Zhang Leping's life story, as well as 500 cartoons of Zhang Leping's representative works, such as San Mao's vagrancy, San Mao's love for science, and ER Wazi. Zhang Leping's friends Hua Junwu, Ding Cong, Shen roujian, Cheng Shifa, Xie zhiliu, Fang Cheng and other famous cartoonists, calligraphers and painters also collected and displayed the paintings for the memorial.

Zhang Leping memorial hall was named as Jiaxing patriotism education base and Haiyan patriotism education base. Haiyan County, the hometown of Sanmao, has become the first children's cartoon creation base in China.

Background: comic master Zhang Leping was born in Haitang Township, Haiyan County. His image of Sanmao has become a household name in China for decades.

In 1983, the people's Government of Haiyan County created "Sanmao paradise" to commemorate Zhang Leping, the outstanding cartoonist "father of Sanmao". In 1988, the people's Government of Haiyan County expanded the "Sanmao paradise" and completed it in May 1995.

In June 2009, Sanmao Park, which has been open to the outside world for more than 20 years, was officially closed to cooperate with the construction of Qiyuan cultural district. The park opened in October 2009. The newly built Sanmao paradise is divided into three themes: the color of the sea, the paradise of fairy tales, and the ocean of knowledge. It creates a game space and a route that integrates with nature on the basis of being close to nature.
