PUTANG natural scenic area is located in the eastern part of Maanshan City, with an area of about 20 square kilometers. In history, it was also a good place for Buddhism and Taoism to build temples and nunneries. In Xichang, there were 27 nunneries, halls, temples and temples, such as Yougu nunnery, Kaoshan nunnery and Qingyun temple, which were very popular for a time. PUTANG natural scenic spot is divided into three scenic spots: Huangzhuang, Jianhu and lingxuan.

Located in the eastern suburb of Ma'anshan City, covering an area of about 20 square kilometers, the scenic spot is a resort for leisure and vacation with many hills, ravines, silk embroidered trees, dingdong springs, elegant environment and wild interest. The bamboo sea, ancient trees, clear spring and bell and drum are known as the "four wonders" of PUTANG. Here, the bamboo sea is vast, with a vast expanse of clear water, gentle mountain wind, whirling bamboo shadow, rustling bamboo leaves, like the sound of nature, wandering among them, forgetting both favor and disgrace, relaxed and happy. After thousands of years of vicissitudes, the Ancient Ginkgo biloba still has twigs and iron trunks, and the shade is as thick as a cover.

PUTANG natural scenic area is located in the eastern part of Maanshan City, which covers an area of about 20 square kilometers. There are overlapping peaks, crisscross valleys, concentrated landscapes, green forest cages on the mountains, covering the sky and the earth, and winding paths among the mountains. In history, it was also a good place for Buddhism and Taoism to build temples and nunneries. In Xichang, there were 27 nunneries, halls, temples and temples, such as Yougu nunnery, Kaoshan nunnery and Qingyun temple, which were very popular for a time. In 1989, the people's Government of Ma'anshan City gathered relevant experts to investigate the resources of the scenic spot, and decided to divide it into the city's natural scenery reserve, formulated the overall development plan of the scenic spot, and began to implement the first phase of the project. The tourist route widening project has been completed. The newly built Yougu temple tourist reception service center and "Yougu Zhengwu" scenic spot cover an area of 1272 square meters and can receive 2000 tourists per day.

There are 49 peaks, 53 canyons, 8 reservoirs and 290 ponds in the scenic area. There are 18000 mu of forest, 5000 mu of bamboo forest, 350 mu of tea garden and more than 300 kinds of plants in the mountains. The whole forest land is mixed with trees and shrubs, vines hanging, ancient trees towering, bamboo forest like the sea. Among them, there are ancient ginkgo trees which have been growing for more than 800 years; evergreen holly which covers an area of 200 square meters and is crowned with giant umbrellas; ancient osmanthus, camellia, Lagerstroemia indica, garden cypress and beech trees which are rich in fragrance and colorful. In the mountains, there are many springs, such as yuruquan, Longquan, Huquan, Qingquan and crab spring, among which Longquan and yuruquan are the largest. Longquan is located at the end of Longgu. The spring water is just like the mouth of a dragon. It forms a trickle and flows slowly. The sound of running water is very clear and pleasant in the deep valley. Yuruquan is located in Yougu nunnery at the foot of Tianma mountain. It is named for its milky color. The spring water is pure and delicious, with a history of more than 500 years. Due to the deep forests and dense trees, the scenic spot is also an ideal place for birds to inhabit, especially in the broad-leaved mixed forest. There are more than 20 species of Tibetan birds, including thrush, warbler, cuckoo, lark, tit, turtledove, Pulsatilla and grey magpie.
