Qiang Museum

The full name of Qiang Expo Park is Ningqiang Qiang Culture Expo Park. It is the only museum park in Western China with the theme of Qiang people's Expo and sightseeing.

Geographical location

Qiangboyuan is located in dongshanguan, the western suburb of Ningqiang County, Shaanxi Province, with superior location and convenient transportation. It is 500m away from the exit of Beijing Kunming Expressway and 2km away from the exit of Xicheng high speed railway.

Scenic spot construction

Construction of Qiang Culture Expo Park. The project has been started since the end of 2008. The planned construction area of the project is 1000 mu, with a total construction area of 25000 square meters. The cultural plaza and outdoor exhibition center are about 10000 square meters. The Qiang Culture Museum, the main building of the Qiang Expo Park, started construction on March 9, 2010, with a total construction area of 5033.78 square meters, including exhibition building, lecture hall, administrative center, Qiang blockhouse and other single buildings and supporting facilities. By the end of 2012, the first phase of public facilities project of Qiang Expo Park had been fully completed, with a total investment of 95 million yuan. The later construction mainly includes 36 sub projects, such as ethnic culture teaching and Research Center, ethnic village, Qiang Customs Street and administrative reception center, Qiang Folk square, etc.

Humanistic value

Qiang Museum Park is an important aspect of the construction of "Qiang cultural ecological protection experimental area" in Ningqiang County. It takes the protection of Qiang cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage as the carrier. It is a "Grand View Park" with complete tourism elements, complete functions, rich historical and cultural heritage and rich national characteristics. Its significance lies in carrying forward and inheriting Qiang culture.

historical background

Ningqiang County is the hometown of the Qiang people. According to the records of Ningqiang County annals, the Qiang people have a long history of activities in this county. For thousands of years, they have gone through vicissitudes, but now the traces of Qiang Folk Customs can still be found. According to relevant documents, Ningqiang was called "qiangzhou" in ancient times. There is still the most prosperous trunk road "qiangzhou road" connecting Shaanxi and Sichuan in Ningqiang County. Ningqiang is also used to be called "Ningqiang", which is the old name of Wei and Zhou. It belonged to Liangzhou in ancient times, and was occupied by Diqiang before the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. Jiameng county was located in the Qin and Han Dynasties. Sanquan county was established in Yangpingguan in the early Tang Dynasty. Sanquan county was directly under the capital in the third year of Qiande in the Song Dynasty, which was the first county directly under the central government in Chinese history. When the Red Army established the Sichuan Shaanxi revolutionary base in 1935, two county-level Soviet regimes, Ningqiang and Yangpingguan, were established respectively. In 1942, Mr. Yu Youren proposed "Anning Qianggu" and renamed it Ningqiang. In the towns of Hanyuan, Bashan and maobahe in Ningqiang, we can also find the remains of Qiang Di folk customs.

Since 2006, Ningqiang County has carried out the work of rescuing and protecting Qiang culture, collected more than 200 objects and set up Qiang culture exhibition. In October 2008, Ningqiang County was listed by the Ministry of culture as one of the experimental areas of Qiang culture ecological protection. Qiang expo garden is one of the key cultural products in the protection of cultural heritage.
