Historical development
In 1921, general Feng Yuxiang led his army to Shaanxi for the first time. He saw a piece of wasteland full of weeds and few people. In order to build a prosperous new urban area on this land, general Feng built a "people's paradise" and wrote his own inscription. In the middle of the park, an auditorium was built to accommodate hundreds of people. Around the auditorium, many shops were built. It was envisaged that the park would be the center of the park and gradually develop to form a new market. In 1926, Feng Yuxiang's northwest army stationed here and changed its name to "enjoy with the people". The wall is like a castle, surrounded by four brick arch gates with three holes, and the gate forehead is inscribed "folk paradise" by song Zheyuan. After Feng Bu left Shaanxi, he became a mule and horse market and a "night market". In 1934, Zhang Ziyi and others built their own houses in the garden to create a "livelihood market". At present, there are more than 300 households, and there is a folk paradise theater in the center of the park.
