Li's ancestral hall is located in guantian village, Rentian Town, Shanghang City, Fujian Province. Founded in 1836, it was built by Li's descendants in memory of Li Huode's ancestor who came to Fujian. It is known as "the first Hakka Temple".

In May 2013, it was announced as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council. In January 2015, it was selected into the fourth batch of national A-level tourist attractions list and promoted to national 3A level tourist attractions.

Traffic information

Li's ancestral hall was built in 1836, which was proposed by Li Menglan, a descendant of Li Huode and a Juren from Yongding County, Fujian Province. It was built in 1836. The ancestral hall covers an area of more than 5600 square meters, with 3 halls, 26 living rooms and 104 houses. The ancestral hall sits in the north and south, with brick and wood structure, surrounded by green brick walls in the shape of "Hui". The front is equipped with a five hole gate, and the middle gate is a memorial archway style gatehouse made of gray green stones and stone slabs. In addition, there are four doors with two holes in the East and two holes in the West. The inner chamber is a round door and the outer chamber is an ear door. The left and right chambers are symmetrical and arranged in a line, which is very spectacular. There is a rectangular stone slab on the archway of the gate building, which is engraved with the word "en Rong" (granted by Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty), the five characters "Li's ancestral hall" on the lower beam, and the couplet "prime minister's mansion, loyal minister's filial son's gate" on the outside of the stone pillars on both sides of the gate. On the walls on both sides of the central hall of the ancestral hall, there are four big characters "loyalty, filial piety and integrity" written by Wen Tianxiang, the Prime Minister of the Song Dynasty, as family precepts, which educate future generations to be loyal, filial, benevolent and righteous. The characters are vigorous and powerful, and they are smooth and magnificent. The front terrace is wide and there is a pond outside.

Architectural features

"Li's ancestral hall" structure is rigorous, complete, three-dimensional, magnificent, its architectural characteristics can be called a unique. Its shape structure is round in front and round in back, integrating Hakka square building and round building; low in front and high in back, integrating palace building and Hakka farmhouse style building; it integrates earth wall and green brick masonry, and uses green brick as the protective wall outside the general ancestral hall, which has the scientific nature of weather resistance, wind and rain, and erosion by years. It is a mixture of earth building and "foreign" building, and is a typical "gold and silver bag" building The middle and back three halls belong to the column beam type frame building. Only 11 pairs of giant stone columns are used to decorate the whole hall magnificently, leaving a valuable historical basis for the modern frame building. They have the space science consciousness of more rooms and less land occupation, and the geomantic landscape architectural characteristics of Zhouyi. In the middle of this thousand mu plain field, they are like "spiders" built on a big web, far mountains and near waters Surrounded by mountains and water, it has the landscape of famous ancestral temple and ancient temple.
