Chuxi Tulou group

Chuxi Tulou group is located in Chuxi village, Xiayang Town, Yongding District. It is composed of Jiqing building, Yuqing building, Shengqing building, Huaqing building, Gengqing building, Xiqing building, Fuqing building, Gongqing building, Fanqing building, Shanqing building, Longqing building, Hongqing building, etc. it has high historical value, scientific value and artistic value. In February 1999, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit at the district level, and became one of the declaration places for Yongding Hakka Earth Buildings to be listed in the world heritage list.

The third ancestor of the Xu family in Chuxi village was built in the 17th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1419). It is more than 580 years ago. It is one of the oldest and special buildings in Yongding. General round building, small set up two public stairs, big set up four stairs, the bottom floor is interlinked and layers of corridor access, mutual communication, very convenient. Only this building, according to the ground floor, each household from the first floor to the fourth floor respectively install stairs, each floor of the passage is separated by wood, 72 stairs divide the whole building into 72 independent units. The rooms, stairs and partition walls are all made of Chinese fir. They are all connected by the head of the neighboring falcon. Without an iron nail, they have gone through nearly six centuries of wind, frost, rain and snow. They still stand up together with the two meter thick raw earth wall.

It was built in 1979 by donating money to overseas Chinese. The corridor and patio on the first floor are all paved with square granite of the same specification, with excellent ventilation and light transmission performance. Hongkeng Tulou group

Hongkeng village is located in the northeast of Hukeng town. It is composed of Yucheng building, Qingcheng building, Zhencheng building, Yongyuan building, Fuxing building, Jingyang building, Yanglin building, Chaoyang building, Qingfu building, Guangyu building, Jiusheng building, Fuyu building, kuiju building, Rusheng building, Wansheng building, Shangde building, HUICAI building, Qingyi building, Yongchang Building, Yongcheng building, Fuxing building, Jiyuan building, etc. In the 13th century (the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty), the Lin family started their foundation here. In 2000, 2310 people from 638 families lived in the Tulou group. The square earth buildings built by Lin's ancestors when the foundation was opened, Chongyu building and Nanchang building, have collapsed. There are 13 large-scale Tulou in Ming Dynasty, such as Fengsheng building and Yongyuan building, and 33 large-scale Tulou in Qing Dynasty, such as Fuyu building, kuiju building, Yanglin building and Zhongzhu building. There are square, rectangle, circle, five Phoenix building, half moon and its variant forms in the modeling of earth building. In addition, there are Tianhou palace, Rixin school, Lin's ancestral hall, Guandi temple and so on. Kuiju building, Fuyu building, Rusheng building and Zhencheng building are outstanding representatives of the Tulou group, among which Zhencheng building, Fuyu building and kuiju building were announced as national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council in May 2001.

It is located in hongkeng village, Hukeng township. It was built in 1912, covering an area of 5000 square meters. It is a beam lifting frame suspended from the top of the mountain. It is divided into two circles, with four outer rings and 48 rooms on each floor. It is designed according to the eight trigrams, with six rooms on each trigram and one staircase as a unit. A fire wall is built between the hexagrams to connect them with arches. The ancestral hall of Zhencheng building is a stage. In front of the stage, there are four large stone pillars with a circumference of nearly 2 meters and a height of nearly 7 meters. On both sides of the stage, there are 30 rooms on the upper and lower floors to form an inner ring. The exquisite cast iron lattice railings on the second floor corridor are imported from Shanghai. On the lintel of the hall is an inscription by President Li Yuanhong in the early years of the Republic of China. In April 1986, at the World Architecture Model Exhibition held in Los Angeles, the United States, Zhencheng building was displayed side by side with the Yonghe temple and the Great Wall. It's eye-catching.

It was built in 1901, more than 100 years ago. It is said that Lin Gaolin, the owner of the building, was originally short of housing. After a dream: a red sun falls here. He thought it was a good place to build a house, so he tried every means to raise money. It took him three years to build the smallest round building. Why is it named Rusheng building? It's because the building is small, like the meter "misheng" made of bamboo tube by Hakka people in the past. Many tourists call it "pocket earth building". For example, the ascending building is a single circle structure, the diameter of the floor is only 8 meters, the indoor patio is round, the inner connecting edge of the roof tile surface is in the shape of eight trigrams, and the outer edge is round.

Located in hongkeng village, Hukeng Town, it is an outstanding representative of Yongding mansion style earth building. It started in 1880 and cost more than 100000 yuan. It took three years to complete, covering an area of more than 7000 square meters. The building was designed by Zhang Xingbing, a friend of the three brothers (Lin Zhongshan, Lin Renshan and Lin Deshan). Its structural features: on the central axis of the main building, the front is low and the back is high. There are two horizontal rooms with orderly height and distinct primary and secondary. There are three gates in front of the building. There are small gates separated between the main building and the cross room. The exterior of the building is integrated, and the interior is divided into three units. Loumenping and the wall are paved with local river pebbles. The workmanship is very fine and harmonious with the natural environment. It looks like three mountains, implying the meaning of "three mountains" of the three brothers. The name of the building was also inscribed by Zhang Xingbing.

Kuiju building was built in 1834. It took nearly five years to complete. It has a history of more than 160 years. It covers an area of more than 6000 square meters and is about 15 meters high.
