Frontier highway

It is a road serving the mobility and logistic support of the border and coastal defense garrison. It is a part of national defense highway.

The scope and management system of border roads are different in the world. The frontier defense roads of the people's Republic of China include: connecting the national and local roads, leading to the company, platoon and shift points of frontier defense, perennial sentries and broadcasting stations, ports, meeting points, radar, Guantong, technical investigation, intelligence, communication, meteorology and other stations, as well as the roads connecting the above points. The construction level of border defense highway shall not be lower than the standard of class IV Highway. The frontier defense roads built by the government are put forward by the army and incorporated into the national highway construction plan, which is organized and implemented by the government's transportation construction department; the frontier defense roads built by the army are usually prepared by the units above the army level, and after being submitted for examination and approval, they are organized and implemented by the logistics departments at all levels.
