Softstone Lane
Leishilong is located at the turning point of the ancient canal in the middle of Shimen Town, Tongxiang City. As early as 2500 years ago in the spring and Autumn period, the boundary between Wu and Yue existed here. The South belonged to Yue, and the North belonged to Wu. At that time, the state of Yue had set up stone barriers to guard against Wu, and Wu had also built a stronghold here to resist Yue.
According to the records of the unified annals of the Qing Dynasty, it is said that "to taste the stacked stone is the gate, which is the limit of the two states of Wu and Yue, or the Shiyi gate." The place name of Shimen town also comes from this. Later, with this as the boundary, the two sides built their own houses, and gradually formed a lane, which was named Lishi lane.
In January 1991, the local cultural Management Association and shimende government erected a stone tablet on the Bank of the Nongkou canal to commemorate the "ancient Wuyue border". The length of the lane is about 50 meters and the width is about 3 meters. The brick walls on both sides are opposite to each other. Some of the bricks have been weathered and have been exposed. canal
