Guidingshan Fort

Guidingshan fort, built in 1920 on guidingshan in the western suburb of Duanzhou District, is one of the seven fort built by Lin Hu, the garrison envoy of Luoyang, in Zhaoqing. The fort is also equipped with three beacon towers and a bunker.

One of the three turrets. Guiding mountain, 230 meters above sea level, is located on the North Bank of Dading gorge of Xijiang River. It is a barrier to the southwest of Zhaoqing and has an important strategic position. The fort is also equipped with three beacon towers and a bunker. The beacon tower is also on the top of the mountain, 36 meters apart, ranging in diameter from 3.8 meters to 4.2 meters, with a wall of blue bricks; the bunker is located on the northeast side of the mountain, slightly lower in front of the beacon tower, 20 meters long and 10 meters wide, with the bottom 1.25 meters above the ground.
