Ninggu Tacheng site

It is said that the remote ancestor of the Qing Dynasty had six brothers living here. In Manchu, "Liuge" is called "ningguta", so it is called ningguta Baile, or ningguta for short. There are two old and new cities: the old city is in the old street of today's Hailin City.

According to the thirty first volume of Shengjing Tongzhi, "the old city of ningguta has a stone city (inner city) on the South Bank of Hailan River (today's Langlang River). It is more than Zhang high. On Monday, there are two doors in the East and the West." According to the actual measurement, the inner city (i.e. Shicheng) is square, 171 meters in side length and 684 meters in circumference, 2.5 kilometers around the outer city side wall, with one gate on each side. Kangxi five years (1666) to move the new city, that is now Ning'an City, known as ningguta new city. In the early Qing Dynasty, Ninggu pagoda was a military, political and economic center located in the north of Shengjing (now Shenyang) and under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang and Wusuli River.

On June 14, 1658 (the 15th year of Shunzhi), the Qing government stipulated that those who took revenge and falsely accused should be exiled to ningguta. Ningan County, Heilongjiang Province, known as the "Ninggu pagoda" in Qing Dynasty, is a famous exile. The jurisdiction of Ninggu pagoda was very broad in Shunzhi years, and the north and east of Shengjing belonged to it. With the establishment of the hall, the territory gradually decreased. From Shunzhi years, ningguta became the receiving place of the exiled people in Qing Dynasty. Hailin County in the east of Heilongjiang Province is the site of Ninggu pagoda where the Qing court exiled criminals more than 300 years ago. Few of the exiles who were garrisoned in ningguta survived, most of them died there.

In the Qing Dynasty, many scholars exiled ningguta for writing. Among them are Zheng Zhilong, father of Zheng Chenggong, a famous anti Qing general, family members of Jin Shengtan, famous poet Wu Zhaoqian, family members of thinker LV liuliang, etc. Wu Zhaoqian exiled ningguta for 23 years because of the imperial examination case.
